Gown or bodysuit
A gown suits the newborn period and the weeks after a new placement. No elastic across the abdomen, nothing passing over the site, and an open bottom so a diaper change leaves the rest alone.
A bodysuit suits a child who is moving. It stays put when they roll and crawl, and the snap opening sits directly at the tube site.
Buy your child's usual size. Sizing up gives a toddler more to grab, not less. And buy more than one — laundry does not wait for a good day.
Stopping the pulling
Most advice about tube-pulling is aimed at the child. Distraction, mittens, the onesie on backwards.
A tube that sits where a hand naturally rests will get grabbed. That is not a behaviour problem. It is geometry.
