What sizes do your products come in?
Gowns are available in Newborn through 12M. Bodysuits are available in 6M through 5T.

What is the difference between TubeWear™ and LineWear™?
TubeWear is designed for children with G or J tube placement. The PediaPouch™ sits over the abdomen and holds extension tubing close to the body and out of reach, with snap-closure flaps for site access.
LineWear is designed for children with central line placement. The PediaPouch sits at the chest and holds central line lumens close to the body and out of reach, with snap-closure flaps for dressing changes and site checks.
Both product lines include the PediaPouch and Dual Arm Access™.

What is the PediaPouch™?
The PediaPouch is the interior pocket built into every PediaTech garment. It holds what would otherwise dangle — extension tubing or central line lumens — gathered against the body, under the fabric, out of reach of small hands and away from bedding. A soft snap-closure flap opens it for feeds, flushes, dressing changes, and site checks without removing the garment.
It sits over the abdomen in TubeWear and at the sternum in LineWear.

Is the PediaPouch lined?
Yes. The PediaPouch is lined with moisture-resistant fabric. Tube sites leak, dressings seep, and connections drip — a plain cotton pocket absorbs all of it and holds it against the skin. The lining keeps drainage off the cotton and off your child, and wipes out rather than soaking through. In practice that means fewer full outfit changes in a day.
The lining is a fabric property, not a barrier system, and is not a substitute for a dressing.

What is Dual Arm Access™?
Dual Arm Access is a soft snap opening running along the inner bend of each sleeve. It lets a caregiver or clinician reach a peripheral IV, a PICC line, a blood draw site, or a pulse oximetry probe without pushing a sleeve up over a dressing and without removing the garment.
Both sleeves open, not one — so a line on either arm is reachable without turning the child or choosing a side in advance.

Do your products contain any metal?
No. All PediaTech Apparel products are completely metal-free and safe for MRI, CT, and X-ray environments.

Hospital Use and Safety

Are your products classified as medical devices?
No. Our apparel is textile-based and not a regulated medical device. These garments are designed to support quality care, not to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition.

Can these be used in clinical settings?
Yes. Our products are made for use in hospitals, infusion centers, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities. They are durable, soft, and built around the access problems caregivers describe.

Are your products machine washable?
Yes. All garments are machine washable and hold up to repeated laundering. Tumble dry low. Fit and fabric hold through repeated washing cycles, and the PediaPouch lining is laundering-safe.

Can families order directly from your website?
Yes. We offer retail ordering for families and caregivers as well as bulk and wholesale options for hospitals and distributors.

We ship from Kentucky, USA.

My garment's neck label says SafeLine PediaWear. Is this the right product?
Yes. Garments from our first production run carry our original neck label, SafeLine PediaWear, from before the company settled on PediaTech Apparel. The garment is the same one described on this site, made by the same people, in the same place. Later runs carry the PediaTech Apparel label.

Who is Elaroo™?
Elaroo is our kangaroo mascot and the symbol of PediaTech Apparel. A kangaroo carries her young in a pouch — which is exactly what the PediaPouch does. Elaroo represents the comfort, protection, and constant vigilance that caregivers bring to medically complex children every day.

Which product should I choose for my child?
If your child has a central line, choose LineWear. Available as a gown in Newborn through 12M and a bodysuit in 6M through 5T.
If your child has a G or J tube, choose TubeWear. Available as a gown in Newborn through 12M and a bodysuit in 6M through 5T.
Both include the PediaPouch and Dual Arm Access, so pocket and arm line access are covered either way.
